Corporate Greetings Cards
Credit crunch...rising fuel costs...being lean and maximising synergies (Ergh.
work speak twaddle).
These are all pressures todays businesses and households face today. So, what's the point of going to the expense of handmade corporate cards?
I cannot guarantee they will repay the cost but you will certainly be remembered the next time the recipient is thinking about the product or service you offer.
A while ago a work friend asked me to do some Thank You Cards for her small business that she ran from home. Nothing too elaborate, just simple thank you cards using her corporate colours and a personal message from her, plus a handmade by Yvonne's Cards stamp on the back.
The reaction from her clients was truly positive with most actually calling her to thank her for taking the trouble to appreciate their business. One client did put a commission her way that she wasn't expecting to be in the running for.
It's only speculation that the uniqueness of the handmade card swayed the decision in her favour.
But we like to think it did!

They need not necessarily be more expensive that specially printed cards.
They show how much you appreciate your customers/ clients by having a card handmade for them.
They go the extra mile. (Ergh.work speak twaddle, again)
They are far more personal than electronic communications (which have their place for speed and convenience).

Wedding Card #10
Another in the series about my commissioned cards :: Wedding Card #10

I get such a sense of achievement from making this card. The design is hand drawn, tinted and embossed on best quality parchment over a pastel card and then I sew them together with the insert for that special finishing touch.

Wedding Card #18
An occasional series of entries describing some of the cards that I have been commissioned to make :: Wedding Card #18

This was a particularly special commission as the customer provided the same fabrics and embellishments used for the bride’s and bridesmaids’ gowns, which I incorporated into the design. A huge challenge, and a tricky job, but this padded satin card really matched the Wedding Party!
